ATTENTION: Effective January 1,
2015
Per the
New York State Electronic Equipment Recycling and Reuse Act,
consumers may no longer dispose of electronic waste in landfills,
waste-to-energy facilities,
in the trash, or at curbside for trash pick-up.

Electronic waste must be disposed of properly at the following
locations:

The following program for disposal of
household hazardous waste is available to our residents through
the Town of North Hempstead:
S.T.O.P. Program
"Stop
Throwing
Out Pollutants"
offers residents the opportunity to dispose of hazardous waste
four times a year
at several locations throughout the town. For a list of items which are
